Membership
The sport system in Saskatchewan consists of nonprofit provincial and local membership organizations who operate with resources from volunteers and revenue from member fees, donations, and grant funding from the sale of lottery tickets that is allocated based on a formula that is based on membership size. As a member you are not only an integral part of the sport system, your membership helps to determine the amount of Membership Assistance Funding Provincial Sport Organizations like Triathlon Saskatchewan receive from Sask Sport and the Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund. Not only does membership provide critical funding for sport, it provides access to sport insurance to protect you and your family if injured, as well as through the sanctioning of triathlon training programs and events in Saskatchewan to ensure they are safe, meet the long term development needs of athletes of all age groups, and are accessible to all who wish to participate.
Your membership in TriSask ensures that you are covered with liability insurance coverage during TriSask sanctioned events and training. Your annual membership includes the cost of national membership with Triathlon Canada, the National Sport Organization for triathlon and multisport in Canada. Membership fees help operate and govern the sport in Saskatchewan, develop coach, officials, and athletes, and high performance programming. You must be a TriSask annual member to receive athlete assistance and participate in programs and events at the local, provincial, national and international level.

Triathlon Saskatchewan’s annual membership provides many benefits including:

- Liability insurance coverage during sanctioned training programs and events
- Optional personal accident and bike pedal insurance for personal coverage while training
- Fostering regional development of youth, age group, officials, coaches, clubs and elite programming
- Supporting sport education opportunities, including NCCP coach certification and officials clinics
- Supporting special events, including the annual AGM and the Triathlon Saskatchewan annual awards program
- Supporting the development of Saskatchewan’s high performance athletes who are working to become Canada’s next Olympians
- Eligibility to receive provincial and national team designation
- Eligibility to receive Membership and Athlete Assistance and High Performance Coach Capacity funding
- Eligibility to compete in the Sask Summer, Western Development Series, National Development Series, and Canada Summer Games
- Eligibility to compete in safe, sanctioned, quality community events
- Eligible to compete for Age Group World Championship qualifying spots for Team Canada
- Eligible to participate in the Athlete Excellence Programming and Camps and Clinics for reduced fees
- Participation in the Triathlon Saskatchewan’s Youth and Age Group Development Series.

- Adult $ 65.00+ $ 20.00 Triathlon Canada Fee (20+)
- Junior $ 34.00 + $8.00 Triathlon Canada Fee (16-19)
- Youth $ 15.00 + $8.00 Triathlon Canada Fee
- Family $170.00 (two adults) + Tri Canada Fee only for each child (8$) as the Tri Sask annual fee for each youth and junior family member is waived.
Your annual membership is valid from September 1 through September 30 the following year.
Your Triathlon Saskatchewan membership covers you with accident and liability insurance at all scheduled club training throughout the year as well as at all sanctioned events in other Canadian provinces.
In addition, your Triathlon Saskatchewan membership will cover you at all Triathlon Canada sanctioned events across the country saving you the cost of one day membership fees when travelling outside the province.
