The Triathlon Canada Age Group World Championship Teams consist of top performing age-group athletes in Canada who earn a spot at a Qualification Race to represent Canada on the international stage at the World Triathlon Championships. Q : How do I show interest?

A : To be eligible to claim a spot on Triathlon Canada’s Age Group Team, you must meet the following basic criteria:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada
Be a member in good standing with a Triathlon Provincial Sport Organization (PSO)
Be a member in good standing with Triathlon Canada (included in annual provincial membership)
  • Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) PRIOR to each Qualification Event

The Expression of Interest (EOI) is the mechanism to state your intention to compete for a qualifying spot. Each event has a separate Triathlon Canada CCN Bikes EOI form to be completed by each athlete along with the EOI fee, payable to Triathlon Canada. The form will be sent to you prior to the event by the Race Director along with instructions on when and where to access the online form.

Expression of Interest (EOI) listings for Age Group events open 3 weeks prior to the qualifying race and will close at 11:30PM PST the Friday before the race (unless stated otherwise). Late EOIs will not be accepted.

By expressing interest and paying the $20 fee, you will be eligible to compete for a qualifying spot on Triathlon Canada’s AG team. Team selection is based on the number of qualifying spots and the event results, which we send to Triathlon Canada. From here, those who qualify will be contacted by Triathlon Canada with an invitation to join Canada’s Age Group Team to compete at the World Championships!
