The swim is in a freshwater body of water with marshals on shore, in kayaks on the course, and lifeguards monitoring the course. The course is scheduled to be a 375m rectangular course, with entry and exit from the beach on Water Street. One lap for Super Sprint, two laps for the Sprint Distance and four laps for Standard distance (1500m).
The kids of steel swim will be a short course out and back.

There will be small sections of off-road material such as pathways and chute run from transition area where athletes will be allocated their transition space.

Athletes should plan for a mostly gravel run with short paved and trail sections.
