The 2025 Western Canada Development Series will conclude with the debut of the Elbow Valley Triathlon, a brand-new event set in one of Alberta’s most picturesque and vibrant communities. Nestled just west of Calgary, the Elbow Valley region is known for its rolling foothills, crystal-clear lakes, and stunning views of the nearby Rocky Mountains—an unforgettable setting to crown this year’s series champions.
As the grand final on July 12th, this race brings together Youth, Junior, and U23 draft-legal athletes for a thrilling end-of-season showdown. With a fast and scenic course, enthusiastic crowds, and a championship atmosphere, the Elbow Valley Triathlon is designed to celebrate the development, grit, and growth of Canada’s rising triathlon talent.
Athlete Age
Please note, that your athlete’s age group is based on how old they are on Dec 31, 2025. Our registration system should automatically select the correct age group.
Early Registration Discount
Register before May 31, 2025, to take advantage of an early registration discount. Discount will be automatically applied at check out.

Mandatory Triathlon Alberta Membership
The Kinetico Calgary Kids of Steel triathlon is sanctioned and insured by Triathlon Alberta. A valid Triathlon Alberta membership is required to participate in all sanctioned events including Calgary Kids of Steel, and will be added to your registration automatically. If you plan to participate in more than one Triathlon Alberta-sanctioned race over the 2025 season, please purchase a full membership. If you only plan to attend the Calgary Kids of Steel event, please choose a day membership.
Athletes who already have a 2025 Triathlon Alberta Membership: Please register using the same e-mail address you used to purchase your Triathlon Alberta Membership, The registration system will automatically recognize your membership status.
All registrations will be validated with Triathlon Alberta or your Provincial Triathlon Organization to ensure it is current.

Please note that all registrations are final.
There are no refunds and no exceptions for any reason, including injury, scheduling conflicts, or other personal circumstances.
During registration, you will have the option to purchase cancellation insurance. This insurance protects your registration fee in the event the race is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
We strongly encourage all participants to consider this option for added peace of mind.
