New for this year — we are thrilled to officially welcome paratriathletes to the  Western Cycle Echo Valley Multisport Festival event. We are committed to creating an inclusive, supportive, and competitive race experience for athletes of all abilities. Our goal is to ensure that every participant has the opportunity to perform at their best in a safe and respectful environment.
If you are registering as a paratriathlete, please complete the para-athlete registration questionnaire during registration so we can ensure the appropriate accommodations are in place to support your race experience.

The Western Cycle Echo Lake Multisport Festival is offering a variety of exciting events, including the Provincial Championship, World Qualifying Multisport and Triathlon, and various multisport challenges. Don’t miss out on the chance to race in beautiful Echo Lake Provincial Park!

Race Events:

**Triathlon Provincial Development Series Events: (Provincial Coach Approval)

Saturday, July 4th:

  •  Western Dev Series 2×2 Mixed Team Aquathlon Relay Event – 375 m swim, 2.5 km run

Sunday, July 5th:

  • Super Sprint Triathlon – Non Draft – 300m swim, 6km bike, 1.5km run
  • Sprint Triathlon – Draft Legal – 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run (1 spot per age group, per gender)

**Kids of Steel Events:

Saturday, July 4th: 

  • Kids of Steel Aquathlon (Swim-Run)
  • Registration: $10 and TriSask ($15) and TriCanada annual ($8) membership
  • Age Range: 4 to 15 years old.
  • Aquathlon Distances: These will be graduated based on age range categories with similar swim/run distances.
  • Examples: ages 8-9 years 100m swim/400m run;
  • 10-11 years 200m swim/500m run, etc.
  • The swim will be in Echo Lake along the beach shore (no deeper than standing depth) with multiple loops depending on age/distance.
  • The run will be within Echo Valley Provincial Park (on Echo Lakeside only), making multiple loops depending on age/distance.

 

**2026 World Triathlon Canada Age Group World Qualifiers for Multisport Events:

Sunday, July 5th:

  • Sprint Triathlon – Non-Draft (1 spot per age group, per gender)
  • Standard Triathlon – Non-Draft (1 spot per age group, per gender)
  • Standard Duathlon – Non-Draft (1 spot per age group, per gender)
  • Standard Aquabike – Non-Draft (1 spot per age group, per gender)

Distances:

  • Non-Draft Sprint Triathlon – 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run Swim Cut Off- 30 mins
  • Non-Draft Standard Triathlon – 1500m swim, 40km bike, 10km run Swim Cut off Time 1:10 mins
  • Non-Draft Stardard Duathlon – 5km run, 20km bike, 2.5km run
  • Standard Aquabike – 1500m swim, 40km bike
  • Sprint Aquathlon – 750m swim, 5km run

 

⏱️ Course Cut‑Off Times

For athlete safety and event operations, the following cut‑off times will be strictly enforced:

🏊 Swim Cut‑Off

  • Standard: ⏱️ 1:10 after the final Standard athlete enters the water
  • Sprint: ⏱️ 0:30 after the final Sprint athlete enters the water

Athletes exiting the swim after the cut‑off will not be permitted to continue.


🚴 Bike Cut‑Off

  • Standard: ⏱️ 3:10 after the Standard swim start
    (approx. 12:10 PM)

Athletes not completing the bike by this time will not proceed to the run.


🏃 Run Cut‑Off

  • All Distances:1:30 PM

Athletes on course after 1:30 PM will be removed and recorded as DNF.


⚠️ Important

Cut‑off times apply to all athletes and divisions and are enforced for safety, staffing, and facility requirements.

*Additional Details: You must have a valid Saskatchewan Triathlon membership. For adults, if you do not have an annual STAC membership, it will be required and will be added to the registration.
**Entry fee is non-refundable, non-transferable, no exceptions.
