Brent Gibson Memorial Icebreaker (Regina Multisport Club)

Brent Gibson Memorial Icebreaker and Para Triathlon  

The event is put on in memory of Brent Gibson the founder of the Regina Multisport Club who passed away unexpectedly in October of 2006. Brent had a gift for getting triathletes together to create better training an events in our city and always kept it fun. In Honour of Brent, there is the Middle of the Pack Award which recognizes athletes who finish in the middle of the race. The event also includes para triathlon and wheelchair aquabike and aquathon.

This event is a fundraiser for the Campbell and Haliburton Athlete Excellence Program which provides financial assistance for Saskatchewan’s elite triathletes along the Olympic pathway. Through this sponsorship and the funds raised, our athletes can now travel to International competitions where they are competing with the best in the world. If you are looking to donate to our excellence program you can do so during the registration process.
