Fall 9-Week Training Program (Ages 6–15)

DATE: September 24 – November 29, 2025
Two exciting races included:
🏅 Race 1: October 25, 2025 (NextGen Member Only. Option to have a child/parent team! More info below)
🏅 Race 2: December 6, 2025 (Open to public)

The NextGen Youth Triathlon Club Fall program is designed to help young athletes (ages 6–15) build confidence, skills, and fitness in swimming, biking, and running — all while having fun, making friends, and staying active.

Training Schedule

All training sessions take place at the YMCA on Saturdays

• 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM → All Age Groups Swim
• 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM:
  • Ages 6–10 → Gym for Bike/Run/Fundamental Games

Ages 11–15 → Studio for Indoor Spin on stationary bike (9:00–9:45 AM), then join the rest of the group in the gym until 10:30 AM

Program Includes

• 9 weeks of coached swim, bike, and run training
• 2 race entries (Oct 25 & Dec 6)
• NextGen Youth Triathlon Club T-shirt

Spots Available

Only 8 spots per age group for the Full Program:

• 8 spots → Ages 6–10
• 8 spots → Ages 11–15

Requirements

• Must provide their own:
  • Swim goggles & swimsuit
  • Bike in working condition (no training wheels)
  • Bike helmet
  • Running shoes
  • Any other gear your child needs
• Must be able to swim without a life jacket or swim aid

Races

October 25 – Splash n’ Dash (NextGen Members Only)

• Athletes can choose to race individually or as part of a team with other NextGen youth athletes or with their parent/guardian.
• Format TBD.
• If parents/guardians want to participate, it may be cost-effective to get the Triathlon Saskatchewan Family Annual Membership.
• If parents/guardians participate, there will be an additional registration fee.

December 6 – Splash n’ Dash (Open to Public)

• This event will be open to the public.
• No parents/guardians are allowed to participate in this race.

Note: Registration fees for the 9-week program include entry into both races for youth athletes.

Fees

• $300* — Full Program (Swim + Bike/Run)
• $150* — Bike/Run Program Only

*Athletes must also be:

• Athlete Member of NextGen Youth Triathlon Club – $1
• Member of Triathlon Saskatchewan
  • Youth $ 15.00 + $6.00 Triathlon Canada Fee
  • Family $160.00 (two adults) + Tri Canada Fee only for each child as the Tri Sask annual fee for each youth and junior family member is waived.
