The town itself has been settled around a small waterway and lake. The swim is in a freshwater body of water with marshals on shore\, in kayaks on the course\, and lifeguards monitoring the course. The course is scheduled to be a 375m rectangular course\, with entry and exit from the beach on Water Street. One lap for Super Sprint\, two laps for the Sprint Distance and four laps for Standard distance (1500m).\nThe kids of steel swim will be a short course out and back. \n  \n\n\nBIKE\n\n\nThe bike course for the Try-a-Tri\, Sprint and Standard distance races will take place on mixed surfaces\, but the majority is on paved roads within town. The course will consist of a 2.4km loop starting at the beach transition area.\nThe Cross Triathlon will use the same swim and run course as the other events but the bike course will be a mixed surface consiting of primarily gravel with varied elevations totaling 188M of ascent. \nKids of Steel category bike will take place on paved town roads. \n  \n\n\nRUN\n\n\nThe run will take place on an out and back course\, mostly composed of out-of-town gravel with a short section of pavement from the transition area. \nThere will be small sections of off-road material such as pathways and chute run from transition area where athletes will be allocated their transition space. \nAthletes should plan for a mostly gravel run with short paved and trail sections. \nKids of Steel category distance is course adjusted to reflect the category distance. \n\n\n
